Welcome to our website and an introduction of our company’s goals, strategies, successes, and growth. Unlike most real estate websites and company philosophies, we want to help you to understand how property is sold in today’s market and how the latest technological tools are utilized to maximize your transactional process. The content of this site is not a carefully crafted sales pitch, but rather an explanation of the truths of the real estate industry as they exist today.
Your home is most likely the single largest investment you have. We feel that you should be well informed whether you are buying and/or selling, so that the decisions you make have the greatest likelihood of producing the results you desire. We have tried to compose each section of our website in a way that is easy to understand so that no real estate experience is required.
It has been our experience that many consumers have some knowledge of the real estate industry, but in most cases the information that they have is either inaccurate or dated with respect to today’s practices. Basing your buying and/or selling decisions on partial or inaccurate information could prove very costly in the loss of both time and money. History
In 1992, founder Bill Luke became licensed in DE & PA as a real estate agent working with RE/MAX Realty in Greenville DE. In 1997 Luke purchased his own RE/MAX franchise, RE/MAX Acclaim, and continued the quest of independence & client driven value. After 4 years of award winning success as a RE/MAX owner, something very large was about to change.
In 2001 Luke Real Estate, previously dba RE/MAX Acclaim, evolved yet again. Shedding the affiliation with RE/MAX, Luke transformed into an independent real estate company able to operate without “corporate interference”. With vastly improving technology, a transforming industry and a mission to create the very best value for the consumer, we retooled our business and remodeled our commission structure. By reducing overheads & increasing efficiency it was now possible to offer the level of service the consumer expected of us while only charging sellers a 3.5% total commission.
“Yes, we ruffled some feathers amongst our peers but stayed the course. The commitment of the business was to build value for the consumer and not necessarily to be guided by the industry norm (if such a thing exists). Staying focused on you, our client, was the most important aspect of building our foundation, the 3.5% commission rate was simply a reflection of reduced overheads & efficiency. As an independent company, there is no corporate affiliation or franchise ownership that requires a piece of your commission dollars. Thus we have removed it from our fee structure.
With the help of our committed client base and their referrals to our services, we survived the recent real estate crash of 2007. Still committed to the client & to providing the greatest value, we are and always will be deeply thankful to our client base for their support. Today we continue on our journey.”
Success
How do you measure success in real estate? Is it the number of transactions performed, the gross revenues generated in a given period of time, how many houses one has for sale, market share, etc.? While we believe those statistics are our industry's tangible measurements & guides of success, we determine success by our client’s participation in our growth and the percentage of our business that is introduced through client referrals.
